Today's meeting focused on re familiarizing ourselves with the tools that we will be using this competition season. All students who want to participate in the competition this year completed the challenge. We cut a 1x2" piece steel tubing and completed different tasks: cutting pieces with a horizontal ban saw, cutting the edges with an angle grinder, use a drill press to practice drilling holes, drill using a cordless drill (to understand that it is easier to use a drill press), use a reamer tool to debur the edges, solder two wires, use a heat gun, use a multitester, etc. This was a great way to come up with what tools we can use in modifying our go-kart.
